Should you buy a memory foam mattress?
When I speak to people about memory foam mattresses I have come to the conclusion that they are the bed and mattress equivalent of Marmite you either love them or hate them. My sister said to me "I want one of those memory foam mattresses", I asked if she had tried one she said "no but people say they are brilliant", and that's the problem with memory foam mattresses you need to try them for yourself to see if they are for you and don't rely on what other people's advice. The benefits of memory foam are well known they support you in all the right places and people who like them love them. The people who don't like them have not given themselves enough time to get use to them and this is because they are use to a springy mattress that pushes you back when you sit on it and when this doesn't happen when they try it in a shop they instantly do not like it.
My advice would be give it time to get use to a memory foam mattress, but if you are still not convinced and still want to benefit from the comfort of memory foam I would go for a pocket memory foam mattress which combines a pocket spring system with a memory foam top giving give you superb comfort and that's what I would recommend to my sister.
